nn Quality Inspector nn nn 1st Shift nn nn Monday
– Friday 7 am
– 3:30 pm nn nn HIRING BONUS!

nn nn Job Summary: nn nnApply quality control principles to ensure products meet regulatory, client and company standards.nn nn Essential duties and responsibilities: nn Monitor the quality of product in process on lines; including fill weights, torque values, housekeeping status, line GMP compliance, and line start-up approvals.

Inspect incoming components, raw materials, in process bulk and finished products against company specifications.

Investigate discrepancies in documentation and fill out paperwork for batch records.

General production lines: Perform line checks, evaluating at a minimum applicable product weight, product concentrate levels, component weights and accuracy of silk screened components.

Verify correct components and accuracy of identification.

Do daily scale checks and set scales for accurate bottle weights.

Audit finished goods.

Evaluate the cleanliness of the lines.

Perform random line checks, documenting findings.

Review batch records for errors.

Perform and/or assist with GMP inspections and documentation of them.

Assist as needed in training of employees.

Communicate needed corrections, major defects and potential and actual need for line shut down to appropriate management personnel.

Monitor and record rejects, deviations, investigations.

Ensure proper use of QC communication such as status stickers and placards.

Assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and upkeep of the SOP book.

Develop/document processes for new procedures.

Communicate effectively with others.

Maintain a good attendance record.

Perform work onsite.

Perform other duties as assigned.

nn Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications: nn High school or equivalent.

Minimum 2 yrs QC Technician experience in a production environment.

Proven experience multi-tasking in work environment.

Ability to use a variety of scales and measurement devices.

Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.

Intermediate reading, writing and math skills.

Minimum 3 months experience working in production environment.

Ability to read, write and speak English competently.

Ability to proofread details, analyze discrepancies and make logical decisions.

Cooperative attitude and interpersonal skills.

Training in quality control techniques (2 years) or equivalent experience.

Familiarity with and comfortable working with computers.

nn nn nn Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: nn Advanced math and statistical analysis skills.

CRT or PC knowledge.

Formal training or work experience in quality control or TQM.

Minimum 2 years training experience.

nn nn nn Environmental conditions: nn Manufacturing environment
– some temperature extremes, dust, noise and wet.

Office environment
– Climate controlled.

Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Requires use of PPE such as safety glasses, hairnets, or gloves.
