The Software Quality Analyst applies a solid understanding of software and computerized systems toward the development of new or enhanced electronic processes, especially related to Manufacturing and Quality data.
Plans, executes, and leads important software development and improvement projects which require independent judgment.
This position will be a mixture of software development and software qualification / validation activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support to the plant, especially related to Quality and Manufacturing data contained in computerized information systems.
Support the digital transformation and optimization of manual and paper-based processes utilizing innovative software solutions.
Make recommendations for software product and process improvements based on technical knowledge and user requirements.
Select sound techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations under direction of supervisor.
Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects.
Provide software validation support including system specification, risk analysis, IQ / OQ / PQ validation activities.
Assure compliance of manufacturing and quality control operations with respect to corporate specifications, SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices/Quality System Regulations (FDA 21CFR 820), Corporate Quality Manual (CQM), ISO 13485-2003, Canadian Medical Device Requirements (CMDR), MDD 93/42/EEC and other applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications: A technical understanding of principles and procedures of software development.
Understanding database-backed web applications.
Experience with testing of software applications.
Experience with SQL databases, database administration, and web-based reporting tools.
Experience with one or more programming languages.
Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices.
Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form.
Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
Understands software lifecycle and basic computer system / server / network architecture.
