Smart For Life is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to manage all cGMP related functions for manufacturing and/or packaging. Oversee and control all work order documentation in manufacture and packaging to ensure highest quality products that meet customer specifications. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring quality throughout the phases of manufacturing from incoming materials to finished goods. Inspects all phases of manufacturing, compounding, and filling. Collects and maintains the reference samples for various items.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials or finished goods.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, etc. .
- Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance
- Interprets test results and compares them to established specifications and control limits.
- Performs visual inspections of finished products.
- Completes documentation needed to support testing procedures.
- Calibrates, validates, or maintains facility equipment.
- Supplies quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
- Investigates or reports questionable test results.
- Performs validations in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines.
- Ensures facility cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Identifies quality problems and recommends solutions.
- Monitors testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
- Identifies and troubleshoots equipment problems.
- Writes technical reports or documentation.
- Check and approve cleanliness of manufacture rooms and/or packaging lines.
- During production, control manufacturing and/or packaging operations to verify conformance to materials specifications.
- Report in work orders all measurements done and stop production if something goes out of specification.
- Collaborate to find solutions to an out of spec product.
- Maintain quality assurance software is up to date.
- Verify all production logs have correct data, lot codes,

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in science or business-based programs.
- Previous experience in food production or food manufacturing.
- Experience in business administration may be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Good technical and IT skills.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in a regulated or cGMP environment
· SQF experience preferred; but not required
· Bilingual
