Quality / Configuration Management Specialist

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation’s war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today’s missions and tomorrow’s global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Performs work that is varied and complex in nature on one or more specialty areas of configuration management or engineering data.
• Analyzes engineering change proposals
• Monitors contractors, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the applications of customer and industry standards and requirement for the statement of work are properly implemented
• Designs, develops and establishes configuration management documentation based on program requirements
• Participates in design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting and related activities
• Identifies requirements and coordinates development and implementation of computer based configuration, data management systems and electronic data support
• Performs other related duties and assignments as directed
• May provide work direction to subordinate work unit personnel
• Assists in facilitating Configuration Control Board Meetings with program/project personnel
• Performs other configuration management related duties and assignments as directed

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work is performed in an office setting in a temperature-controlled environment. Indoor duties are performed on an even surface, which may be carpet, tile or concrete. Indoor surfaces are typically dry. Frequent use of a computer is required.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, a related field or a combination of formal training and equivalent experience. Must possess 6 years of directly related CM experience. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in computer operations, word processing and integrated software applications, including electronic data management systems (EDMS). Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.
