Facility Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)
– Wintersong-Chosen Healthcare Job Summary: The QMA is responsible for administering prescribed medications & maintaining related medical records.
Description: Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and/or the DON, the QMA prepares & administers prescribed medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Facility policies & procedures.
This position helps to assure that the medication needs of Residents are met in an appropriate and safe manner.
Qualifications: Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistance Program with successful completion of Qualified Medication Aide designation requirements; certification must be in good standing in the state where work will be performed; Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check; Satisfactory personal & professional references; Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check Successfully complete a drug screening Must have received, or be willing to receive, the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire.
