Compensation: $21.00 to $24.00 hourly

Are you a purchasing professional with an interest in expanding your career? If so, Accountemps may have just the right opportunity for you. We are currently partnering with a premier Minneapolis based manufacturer to find a Purchasing Specialist to join their team for a 3-6 months engagement. The role will start in a fully remote capacity, but is likely to become a hybrid remote/in-office role as COVID restrictions subside, so we are only considering local talent for this role at this time. Your specific duties for this position include:

– Assist with the generation and processing of purchase orders.

– Interact directly with the order entry and customer service teams to validate details of orders, ensuring that all lead times are appropriately taken into consideration for fulfillment of the request

– Interact with others on the purchasing team, seeking guidance if an answer to a procedure is unknown

– Validate and recategorize items that have been returned back to the manufacturer, preparing supporting paperwork.

– Assist with inventory cycle counts and other inventory related tasks

Job Requirements:

2+ years of prior purchasing experience is required

Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Finance is highly desired, but not required

Strong attention to detail

Excellent customer service and follow-up skills, both written and verbal
