A Psych RN is needed for a major hospital system in Wyandotte, MI!
Shift: Day or Night available
Duties:
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Education:
1. BSN preferred.
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Job Requirements:
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Required Experience:
- Must have 1.5 – 2 years of psych experience.
- Must be able to handle patients in crisis.
- General Psych evals, evaluate risk for suicide,
- Psych Medications and outcomes, and how to talk to Psychologists and patients in need.
- De-escalation and restraints are a MUST.
- NAPPI or CPI training is heavily preferred.
