Project Engineer

Paxton Mitchell, the pioneer designer and manufacturer of the original SNOOPER™, the most widely used Under-bridge Inspection and Maintenance Truck in the world, has a full-time opening for a Mechanical Engineer.

The primary focus of this position is to support:

· New product development,

· Product improvements, and

· Standardization of products

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Document designs using 3D solid (SolidWorks) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD).

· Evaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stability.

· Evaluate load-bearing components and assemblies

· Assist with development of work instructions.

· Develop procedural and design improvements.

· Evaluate current state and improved state processes and costs.

· Maintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documents.

· Generate manuals for designed equipment as required

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical or agricultural preferred)

· Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and structure design

· 0 – 2 years of related experience

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Goal-oriented, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Proficient in the use of SolidWorks, FEA

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
