Overview

By Light is hiring a Project Control Specialist (PCS) for DISA projects in performing project monitoring and data control, conduct project audits, manage project financials, and serve as the liaison between project management and finance.

Responsibilities

Mid-level professional capable of fulfilling the project accounting and cost reporting requirements of multiple mid-sized projects, including day-to-day interface with project management, client and contractor personnel.

Also responsible for creating and maintaining the programs indirect budget tracking spreadsheet; compare actuals with indirect costs forecast and review monthly analysis with the Program Manager; analyze and present financial reports, revenue variance, unbilled analysis, and accruals for determination of progress; track project costs; monitor performance against baseline; create purchase requisitions for subcontractor labor and other direct cost funding; and submit monthly financial charts/reports for government tracking.

• Reports to Director of Finance
• Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
• Maintains Operational and Archival databases (SharePoint) to ensure all project timelines are met and documentation is accessible to all stakeholders.
• Track subcontractor invoicing cost and monitor performance against purchase order for subcontractor labor and other direct cost funding.
• Review and interpret new contracts and modifications
• Responsible for tracking purchase orders, invoice approvals, payments and material purchases
• Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Accounting Supervisor.
• Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; communicate with the Accounting Manager as to your observations and actions taken.
• Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in a related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analysis skills

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• Costpoint and Govcon experience
• Familiarity with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)
