Production Lead Operator

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Experienced, senior worker who, in addition to performing job tasks at a proficient level, coordinates the activities of a small team of operators to coat products using PVD, (Physical Vapor Deposition) equipment in accordance with work instructions. Position requires mechanical set-ups.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform equipment setups in accordance with work instructions.
• Coordinate activities of production operators to meet production objectives.
• Load and unload parts onto PVD fixturing and equipment and coats parts using appropriate recipe.
• Inspect parts in accordance with final inspection procedures.
• Ensure all in-process quality control inspections are being completed
• Package parts in approved packaging material
• Responsible for completing necessary documentation, maintaining traceability, and escalating accordingly
• Material movement between the different inventory locations.
• Responsible for facility during off shift hours
• Coach and trains contractors in production operations as necessary
• Ensure all tests and inspections are complete
• Coordinates breaks and lunch so that the manufacturing area maintains continuous operation without interruption
• Adherence to applicable health and safety procedures and will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Focuses efforts on achieving SMART objectives aligned to the companys strategic imperatives
• Accomplishes Inspection, Data, and Problem Solving
• Mechanical experience is a plus
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.

COMPENSATION: $22.00 per hour
