Decisions in hiring, promotion, development, compensation and advancement are based upon non-discriminatory factors such as, for example, qualifications, abilities, experience, and performance.JOB SUMMARY:Duties and Responsibilities – varies based on assignment; may include:* Safely operate a variety of production equipment including but not limited to weighing equipment, mixing equipment, extrusion equipment, cleaning equipment, packaging equipment, mills, etc. Pack raw materials or finished goods in preparation for shipment.* Clean and prepare machine for next color, multiple times per shift* Follow all Company procedures, rules, policies, and training. Report deviations to Management.* Follow Quality Control instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM) instructions and packaging instructions.* Understand work instructions in work area* Understanding of daily schedule. Monitor production orders and flow.* Understanding of Kanban system. How to set up orders and use equipment according to batch size.* Perform cleaning of production equipment and tools after each batch as needed.* Safely operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, hand pallet truck, walker.* Accurately document work completed, and update required paperwork. Enter data and log order through computer system.* Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues that may occur. Make adjustments to equipment and production orders.* Identify raw materials or finished goods through printing of labels or reading BOM.* Communicate issues to co-workers, Leads, Supervisors or Manager. Has a continuous improvement mindset.* Follow Company rules, procedures and Policies.* Performs other duties as necessary or as assigned.Occupational and process safety, environmental protection* Comply with all Safety, Health and Environmental related rules and policies.* Maintain housekeeping standards.* Actively contribute towards identifying risks. Makes decisions in best interest of the Company and its customers.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience* High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent training & experience.* Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.* Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
