Come and experience your future!Entry level position that will apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.

Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.

Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.

Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.

Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.

Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programsThis requisition is for a Level 2 Product Quality Engineer on the LM Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) Product Quality Team in Syracuse for 2nd shift supporting mainly USW products, but occasionally supporting other product areas on 2nd shift.

The position will interact directly with Production teams on Product Quality Assurance (PQA) work tasks/priorities and functionally collaborates with the LM RMS PQA Manager.

The candidate must have a proven history of strong performance and ability to take initiative across a variety of QA responsibilities/tasks on development and/or sustainment programs.

They are expected to quickly come-up to speed with the products, work scope, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery achievement schedules.In addition to the responsibilities highlighted above we offer extensive benefits to include competitive 401k, insurance and a new 4/10 schedule.

– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
– Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Familiarity with hardware engineering requirements development and design, and system integration and test
– Good understanding of manufacturing and hardware engineering processes.
– Experience with use of Statistical Process Control & other Statistical techniques
– Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders including Military Customers
– Ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams and communicate with positive impact-Ability to obtain a Secret clearanceDesired Skills:
– DoD contract experience
– Lean/Six Sigma black (or green) belt
– IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 standard certification
– ISO/AS9100 knowledge
– Proven audit experience
– Experience interfacing with Government Customer Representatives
