The Position
The Strategic Product Coach will contribute to the formation and execution of a customer-centric product organization across Wells Fargo. The coach will guide and support the organization in developing and advancing the product structure and product operating model with senior executive leaders. This coach will have exposure in the many aspects of product development from idea to market, while coaching leaders on visioning, developing objectives and measures against value-based outcomes, driving product decisions via customer-centric perspective, and guiding leaders in evaluating the future product direction and strategies. The strategic product coach will also help develop the product coaching skills of other coaches.

The Candidate
To support the Wells Fargo transformation, the candidate has to be able to translate varied and abstract ideas/concepts into an actionable plan. They will assess and help develop the strategic direction of products through trusted relationships with senior executive leaders. They must be able to navigate and assess requests for product delivery (both business and technical) to guide leaders in prioritization and planning of work through value aritculation and alignment to the product vision. They will evaluate the broader product ecosystem and propose adjustments to the transformation strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience on an Agile team (i.e. Product Owner, Scrum Master)
  • 7+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years as an active Agile Coach
  • 3+ years of experience implementing scaled Agile transformation in a complex, silo-driven environment
  • 5+ years of strategic planning and development experience
  • 5+ years of coaching experience
  • 5+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile & Product tools
  • 5+ years of experience with both Agile and Product scaling methodologies
  • 1-2 years of Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) experience
  • Ability to effectively drive and influence transformation in an organization with Wells Fargo s size, scale and complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change/transformation efforts across several lines of business and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment.
  • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with key business partners and translate complex, technical concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions.
  • Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership.
