Summary: Our client is a world-class Tier 1 manufacturer of rubber and urethane automotive components looking to add a Product Engineer to their team in the Novi, MI Office.

As part of this team the Product Engineer will be responsible for project management of interior equipment and urethane products for the automotive industry.

  Product Engineer must have design experience preferable CATIA experience
Product Engineer Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering (BSME preferred) At least 1 year automotive industry experience  CAD design experience preferable CATIA experience  Understanding of product drawings and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) Bilingual in English and Japanese preferred, but not required Product Engineer Responsibilities:  Work in 3D modeling daily to create concepts, performance, and production criteria Help in the design aspect of the initial RFQ process with OEM’s Negotiate with the development team in Japan and Italy on various technical issues            Negotiate appropriate production processes and provide feedback to development team in Japan Work with Manufacturing Plant Production Engineers in the development of best manufacturing practices  Work with Purchasing and Suppliers to develop best component parts for product design Produce final 2D drawings and specifications for assemblies and component parts              Negotiate with customers for any technical issues        Travel to development base in Japan and Italy to learn development skills             Travel to production facilities to evaluate processes Must be motivated, thorough, patient, willing to learn, and can work as a team with other multi-national team-mates Must have good organizational skills, time-management skills, communication skills, and be efficient completing tasks and reports     WHO WE ARE
