If you’re answering yes, then out Product Engineer position is definitely a role you should pursue A Snapshot of What You’ll Do: The Product Engineer is responsible for all technical matters concerning Anton Paar QuantaTec products, including: Experience in a serial production environment relative to quality improvement initiatives e.g.

troubleshooting, development documentation and standard operating procedures, Kaizen, root cause analysis etc.

Experience in the set-up of production lines, maintaining bills of materials & routing and SAP ERP system experience.

Technical product responsibility and support for series products over the entire product life cycle The functionality, specifications and quality of serial released instruments Participating in projects for product development Root Cause Analysis & Quality, utilizing fishbone diagrams to drive analysis Establishing material specifications and material requirements Driving Value stream mapping Support serial production with over 80% of time spent on the floor collaborating with Engineers to drive quality and performance with consideration to spend reduction and identify obsolescence of parts etc Defining cost savings through material changes, part swaps and production and assembly processes The Contribution You’ll Make: The Product Engineer is a self-starter who has excellent troubleshooting skills and engages with inter-company teams to solve problems.

Job duties include: Granting technical approvals such as special approvals and approval of technical changes to serial products Taking responsibility for all instrument-specific, quality-relevant, and technical specifications of the products Ensuring instrument safety and adapting products to new norms and standards (together with CE) Handling component testing and technical release Conducting the testing and verification of existing instruments (not applicative) Conducting error analysis and systematic solutions in case of problems to maintain process and product quality Performing regular monitoring and analysis of production costs and driving improvement projects involving cross functional teams (together with CR, REP, and production) Creating and maintaining product and production documents Participating in projects during development according to PEP Implementing the serial transition of new products including documentation Acting as link between development, production, and Customer Support with regard to technical implementation and questions Handling the verification and validation of products with a focus on Software and Firmware Training of Customer Support, Repair and Assembly, QA or in some cases, other functional areas Creating Customer-specific adaptations for customized projects Cooperating closely with development, production, service, purchasing and product management Handles 3 rd level support for customer inquiries May be required to travel to other Anton Paar facilities domestically or internationally ( All other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications We Look For: The Product Engineer role requires a combination of strong technical knowledge, quality orientation, collaboration across teams and a sense of ownership and accountability for the performance of the products.

This role requires the following: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical engineering.

5 years of experience in the domains of research and development, product engineering, manufacturing engineering Preferred skills include: Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related field Knowledge of scientific instrumentation technology a plus Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher Experience with approvals / certifications (e.g.

CE, NRTL, GS) Experience with SAP Supervision Exercised This role is an independent contributor who is a member of multiple teams and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, observe, communicate and handle items such as computers, machinery and other equipment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position requires the ability to obtain a Passport for international travel.
