Product Development Chemist Industry leader in Soap Production Located near New Brunswick, NJ COMPENSATION Competitive Salary DESCRIPTION The Product Development Chemist will be responsible for improving the research and product development of detergents, fabric softeners, oven cleaners, and floor cleaners.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop written protocols on procedure, condition, batch time, mixing time, color match, QC test, perfume selection, essential oil application, safety and dye selection.
Problem solve and find reasons for formulations if product is not to specifications.
Enhance products for improved performance.
Offer analytical support for QC trials.
In charge of literature searching, new product development, design experiments, request samples from raw material companies, product shelf life study, plant production, and scale-up.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Scientific field.
3 or more years’ experience in formulating liquid soaps.
