Product Design Engineer II 5 Months ContractCupertino, CA ( Must be local to the Bay Area Onsite required) Job Description – Thermal EngineerThe Client Thermal team is seeking a world-class Thermal Engineer to play a key role in the Definition and Design of Client products. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure that all thermal objectives are met or surpassed in order to optimize the user experience of Client’s customers. Key Qualifications bull DEEP TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE IN bull – conduction, convection (passive and active), and radiation bull A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF – Statisticsmathematics6-sigma background bull – scripting languages (perl, tcl, etc.) bull – MATLAB or equivalent toolkit bull – flow and thermal measurement techniques o materials and manufacturing processes bull – The ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions to complex, multi- discipline design problems bull – Persistent attention to detail bull – The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment bull – Strong communication skills Education Experience MS from ME or AA with at least 3 yrs of product development experience Hands on thermal testing Statisticsmathematics6-sigma background CFD (Icepak or StarCCM+) Open to a new culture, willing to change work styles to adapt to Client’s culture (examples debating, attention to details, quality of presentation) The ability to clearly communicate technically complex material within cross-functional design teams is a must, as is the ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment..
