The City of Paola (5,600) is currently seeking a law enforcement professional to fill the critical and highly visible position of Police Chief.
Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field and should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in law enforcement with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

Additional years of work experience as a certified officer and at the supervisory level will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

The candidate must possess KLETC certification and a valid Kansas driver’s license or the ability to obtain it.

The salary range for this position is $63,160 to $96,865 with an excellent benefits package.

Starting salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
