PKI Development Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (80% remote: 20% onsite)
OVERVIEW:
A global IT solutions company is looking for PKI Development Engineer. The PKI Development Engineer is responsible for the development, design, architecture, and construction of the entire PKI approach and operation of the PKI infrastructure for cybersecurity services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
- Develop a PKI program-specific outline for a connected car security program.
- Identify, research, and propose concepts and architectures that are specific to the needs of the PKI domain
- Create and maintain the company security policies and standards in the adoption of PKI and data protection technologies and align them with industry best practices and business needs.
- Develop technical security strategies, architecture, standards related to the PKI infrastructure
- Perform operation of PKI in compliance with WebTrust
- Conduct Gemalto/SafeNet HSM/Microsoft Windows CA routing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Manage configuration in collaboration with infrastructure team
- Integrate new and updated PKI services with development team
- Automate tasks related to cybersecurity, including correlation, alerting, analysis, and event review processes
- Integrate various tools and data sets to enhance detection and preventive controls including security principles of cloud (X-as-a-Service) systems directly into application design and blueprints/formats.
- Execute Data exchange with internal and external security intelligence platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College or Technical Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
- In-depth knowledge of: Secure storage of keys (HSM), multi-layer CA for PKI, NIST 800-57, FIPS 140-2
- Hands-on experience with Gemalto/SafeNet HSM/Microsoft CA setup and troubleshooting
- Experience with SNMP, SCOM, NetCool, Kafka, PoweShell, OpenSSL
- Experience in technical risk management, including software development and delivery services and security engineering.
- ISO 21188/WebTrust certification
- Familiarity with modern development platforms such as: CD/CI, Git/Gerrit, Dockers, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
