Summary
As a member of the Dolby team, you’ll see and hear the results of your work everywhere, from movie theaters to smartphones.

You’ll be working on the development, implementation, test engineering, and quality assurance of cutting-edge imaging/video processing algorithms, Dolby Vision, and related technologies.

Mentored by our experienced senior engineers, your work will contribute to our overall product and technology roadmap. 
Responsibilities:

  • Perform software development, create procedures related to picture quality verification/certification of Dolby Vision
  • Test run, quality assurance of Dolby Vision picture quality-related test procedures
  • Provide feedback on specific features and record all bugs and issues encountered during testing
  • Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices 
  • Produce and maintain useful and usable documentation of work
  • Help the training/knowledge transfer of Dolby Vision picture quality tuning procedures to members of Dolby support/field applications team

Qualifications:

  • Studies in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis and passion for multimedia technologies
  • An added benefit: study/research in digital image processing, human vision, color science
  • Self-motivated quick learner and team player
  • Comfortable with fast-paced scrum agile development cycle, multiple projects parallel working environment, willing to shift project priority and commitment with deliver
  • Experience with scripting languages: Matlab, C, Python, etc. 
  • Experience with source control tools: Git, Perforce, etc. 
  • Plus, to be aware of video coding standards: H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, video formats, video interfaces, video test pattern generators, video bit-stream analyzers.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Results oriented with a passion to learn new technologies

Eligibility
Pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a related field; recent grads who are within 3 months of graduation are also eligible to apply
Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between January 2022 – July 2022.

The start date for this position is Monday, January 24, 2021.
