PhlebotomistThe Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood samples demonstrating knowledge and skills as appropriate to appropriate to the age, growth and development and life-cycle issues of the patients (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics) necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and level of difficulty of the patientThis includes:Utilizing the computer to retrieve labels, comment, cancel, collection summary and collection verification.Obtaining either venipuncture or capillary specimens from neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics in both the inpatient and outpatient setting using established policies and procedures.
Performing initial and post-screening for Glucose Tolerance Testing by glucometer, according to policy.
Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.Phlebotomy experience preferred.Grade 112
