Position Summary
As a Parts Specialist you will be a critical link in ensuring that our customers have a rewarding experience that will keep them coming back to 4Rivers Equipment time after time.
The Parts Specialist is extremely knowledgeable about heavy and agricultural equipment parts and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone.
Essential Duties:
Greet walk-in customers, respond to customer telephone calls and inquiries, sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
Process internal (inter-company) parts transfer requests.
Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
Keep work area and assigned warehouse areas neat, clean, and organized.
Maintains condition of department vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
Participate in (annual) physical inventory.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent 2 years experience in a team environment 2 years customer service or retail experience Must have or be able to obtain a forklift certification Strong verbal communication skills Basic computer skills Basic math skills
Physical Effort: Parts Specialists must have regular and timely attendance.
They must participate in all job-related training and development.
Parts Specialists also must be able to constantly move objects weighing up to 60 pounds unassisted.
They frequently stand for long periods of time and must be able to maneuver around different obstacles in and around the store.
Working Conditions: Parts Specialists must frequently visit the service and repair shop to perform many of their tasks and duties.
Within the shop, there are hazardous working conditions.
There is risk of exposure to dirt, dust, grease, mists, fumes, cuts, bruises, strains, loud noises, chemicals such as oils, antifreeze, battery acid, etc.
To combat these potential dangers and risk hazards, Parts Specialists must follow strict safety procedures, proper equipment safety, and PPE.
