Packaging Operator

CoWorx Staffing is seeking skilled Packaging Operators for an opportunity in Southington, CT. In this role you will be performing a variety of tasks to include the packaging operation, placing boxes on skids and providing the proper paperwork.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the operation of the Form, Fill and Seal machine, hand held scanners, label maker and taping machine.

• Perform multiple tasks such as problem solving, trouble shooting and identify and analyze root causes.

• Receive, inspect, sort and pack production a timely and efficient manner.

• Visually inspect packaging material and ensure appropriate documentation accompanies the product.

• During the product changeover, cleans and inspects machine to ensure all product has been removed and accurate packaging occurs.

• Verifies all paperwork is complete and accurate.

• Responsible for work flow & production.

• Engage others, promote and participate in EH&S initiatives focusing on continuous improvement

Job Requirements:

Where you fit in:

• High school or equivalent 

• 6-12 months experience in a manufacturing environment. 

• Basic computer skills. 

• Knowledge of the shop floor data system a plus. 

• Working knowledge of quality systems. 

• Self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills. 

• Adequate fine motor hand coordination is required. 

• Must be able to lift 35lbs.
