Pace is currently hiring Full-Time Warehouse Associate/Package Handler and Sorter for immediate start in our Hammond, LA market. Join our warehouse team and take the first step towards a rewarding career in the fast-paced logistics industry!As a Warehouse Associate / Package Handler and Sorter at Pace, you will be tasked with various assignments including lifting, moving, and sorting boxes to build pallets of freight. Youll lift, lower and slide packages up to 50 lbs. Shifts are scheduled to range from 8am to 1 am up to approximately 40 hours per week.Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Associate/Package Handler and Sorter:* Unloading inbound trucks – offload freight from trailers both by hand and with the support of equipment.* Work the sort line – moving, organizing, staging, and loading various sized boxed freight off the conveyor line* Palletize freight – sorting packages, building pallets and wrapping pallets in plastic to secure freight* Use digital scanners and equipment to manage the loading/unloading of freight in Pace’s system* Loading trucks with pallets using a manual pallet jack.* Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.What does it take to work for Pace?:* Positive attitude, team-player mentality* Attention to detail* Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs.* Must meet background and drug screening requirements.* Do the right thing, Get the job done, Do what you say, and Always improve.Why work for Pace?:* Competitive Pay – Starting at $13.00 hr. with pay increases at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year based on performance and metrics.
