As Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist, you will be accountable for executing a change management initiative supporting a major internal Information Systems ERP transformation project across a complex, global organization. Reporting to ABB Electrification OCM Manager, as an integral member of the North AmericaTransformation OCM team you’ll provide consultation services to internal business & operations stakeholders and user groups including performing readiness assessments, development and delivery of change management communication plans, and identification and mitigation of organizational resistance to change in adoption and use of new technology tools, software applications, and operating processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Accountable for supporting the goals and objectives of the change initiative and working collaboratively at the organization functional department and division levels
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
  • Identify any resistance, risks or issues within the business that would impede the specific change initiative
  • Identify resistance and change management performance gaps and develop/ implement corrective actions
  • Support the activities of the Change Agent Network in the delivery of information out to employees and the solicitation of feedback, addressing questions etc.
  • Develop and deploy adoption metrics to track progress against change management activities and report issues Facilitate and coordinate meetings, presentations and coordinate delivery of prepared communication packages
  • Ensure OCM activities follow accepted project management practices in accordance with the guidelines of the PMO including that it is managed within scope, timelines and budget
  • Identify, analyze, recommend and implement solutions to a variety of Change Impact Analysis activities like validation, Stop, Start, Continue narratives and ensure remedial actions are planned and executed
  • Support Super User program and end user training activities as needed working closely with the Training Lead

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in OD/OE, HR, Industrial Psychology, Business, or related field is required with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience providing external or internal consulting services as a Change Management Specialist implementing change management strategies and plans
  • Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree, but a minimum of 6 years directly related OCM consulting experience is required; Master’s degree a plus
  • Prosci or similar change management certification or designation is strongly preferred
  • Must have a thorough understanding of how people and organizations process change and knowledge of best practice change management methodologies and tools
  • Experience working on large scale IS deployment projects within a complex organization in a change management role is preferred
  • Ability to manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes is preferred
  • Capability to design, develop, deliver, and coordinate meetings, presentations and coordinate delivery of prepared communication packages is required
  • Strong team collaboration skills are required as well as a high comfort level motivating, coaching, and working with employees dealing with the stress of significant change
  • Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel is required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
