For over 35 years, Bay Hills Eye Care Center has provided top-quality eye care to residents and families of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses. Serving Anne Arundel County and the communities of Annapolis and Severna Park, the practice offers a complete eye care experience through full-scope optometry and additional services. The team of professionals specializes in medical eye care, ocular disease treatment and management, pediatric eye care, and the latest in contact lens technology. The practice is conveniently located in the Bay Hills Shopping Center, easily accessible from major highways. To support the practice’s continued growth and service offerings, Bay Hills Eye Care Center is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of three doctors and a support staff of five employees.

To help care for various vision needs, Bay Hills Eye Care Center uses state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and vision correction products to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is fully equipped with Topcon Autorefractors, Optomap Daytona, Cirrus OCT, and visual field technology. Cloud-based software is used to manage electronic health records and monitor patients’ eye health over time. In addition, the optical boutique carries an extensive eyewear line for the entire family, from budget-friendly to designer frames. Customers will enjoy personalized support from the Optician to help them find the perfect pair of frames-plus, the practice offers the latest contact lens technology.

About the Full-Time Optometrist Opening

Bay Hills Eye Care Center is seeking a full-time Optometrist passionate about providing excellent personalized and individualized care to ensure optimal vision for all patients. You’ll have the opportunity to practice full-scope optometry, including comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, contact lens fittings, glaucoma management, and diabetic management. Comprehensive exams are performed every 45 minutes, medical eye care every 15 to 30 minutes, and up to 12 patients are cared for daily. Candidates with an interest or experience in ocular specialties such as myopia management, keratoconus treatments, pediatrics, and sports vision will be an asset to the team.

The practice is looking for a long-term Optometrist interested in growing and building their career as well as investing in practice development. This is an excellent opportunity to care for a wide variety of ocular conditions and work with an expert team in a supportive environment. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. Minimum qualifications include:

• Optometry license in the state of Maryland

Preferred qualifications include:

• Comfortable with medical eye care management
• Additional specialties such as myopia management, keratoconus treatments, pediatrics, and sports vision
