Job Duties:
Read, interpret & follow basic engineering drawings, bills of materials & other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble / refurbish of equipment or products.
Work with Supervisor & other team leads to manage & prioritize order to ensure production schedules are met.
Execute & coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed & meet all quality requirements.
Report problems or concern with quality, processes, equipment, materials & labor to Supervisor.
Update production schedule & facilitate regular team communication & toolbox meeting
Perform quality works check to ensure the product meets the quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Ensure team follow documented policies & procedures, perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by complying with rules & regulations. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, mechanics are expected to act in a safe manner at all times & ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.
To make sure that all the parts, labor, and other processes are progressing at the due date.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma (or GED)
3-5 years working as an assembly mechanic or similar
Experience leading a team of 3-5 employees in a shop environment (preferred)
Read, interpret & follow basic engineering drawings, bills of materials & other written instructions or procedures
Ability to drive a forklift
Ability to operate an overhead crane
Ability to stand, bend, walk, 3 hours at a time
Ability to work in hot/cold environments for long periods of time
Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, after-hours and weekends, as needed
Valid DL
Basic computer skills including Microsoft suite (Word, Excel)
