As a Sustaining Reliability Engineer in FRL, you will be responsible for assessing and maintaining the hardware reliability of products post ramp, during mass production.
This includes leading all post ramp qualification activities from a reliability standpoint as well as identifying and resolving any outstanding reliability issues in the factory.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Quality, CM management and Factory Ops to represent reliability and solve issues that may come up during mass production.
You will also be responsible for assessing field reliability of the shipped products and provide hardware reliability insights to the NPI team to influence next generation products.
The FRL Reliability team is looking for someone who can wear multiple hats depending on the task at hand.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in reliability engineering, reliability statistics as well as ability to work with large datasets to extract information and provide insights to key stakeholders.
Lead all reliability related post ramp qualification (PRQ) activities including second source, site moves, line qualifications etc.
and develop concise and detailed reliability test plans and reportsMonitor ongoing reliability testing (ORT) at Contract ManufacturersLead all reliability activities during escalation/line stop/line down situation for fast recovery including RC/CA, testing and risk assessmentsMonitor field reliability and present information to management on a regular basisDevelop novel methods to assess field reliability and influence next generation productsPartner with internal teams to develop and maintain data infrastructure required for field data analytics across product platformsAnalyze field returns through a reliability lens as well as monitoring key device usage metrics that can impact hardware reliabilityProvide accurate and in-depth statistical analysisDomestic and International travel required Bachelors degree in Reliability Engineering, Statistics or equivalent discipline3+ years of experience in reliability engineering using reliability statisticsKnowledge of mechanical design, material science and failure mechanisms of consumer electronicsReliability program management experienceKnowledge and experience with reliability tests including (but not limited to) mechanical, shock, vibration, environmental and characterization testingProficient in field reliability data analysis (Nevada chart, warranty analysis)Experience with data analytics using large datasetsInterpersonal and collaboration skillsExperience to independently manage multiple tasks in a dynamic cross-functional environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining a strong attention to detailProficient in coding with one or more scripting languages (e.G., Python, R, JMP Scripting Language (JSL), MATLAB, Minitab, etc.)Experience in data analytics, statistical analysis and reliability analysis such as lifetime analysis, accelerated factor studies, and reliability modeling.
(JMP, Reliasoft, etc.)Experience with one or more query languages (e.G., SQL, HiveQL, Presto, etc.) Knowledge of reliability physics of failureExperience with failure analysis techniques.
