Sign-On bonus $1,000Under supervision, a childcare facilitator is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate activities and supervision for the children during the Learning Lotus Center hours, prepares and serves nutritious snacks and refreshments, meets with the Children’s Treatment Team to address concerns and share feedback regarding the care of each child, and networks with schools and agencies to assure needs of the children are met.Provides integrated services that are welcoming, engaging and accessible. These services address physical healthcare, behavioral healthcare and social needs that are recovery focused, strengths based, culturally competent, patient centered, trauma informed and co-occurring capable.Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support health behavior change in persons with behavioral health and substance use challenges. Interacts with the consumers, their families, support system and community providers in a respectful, genuine and professional manner.Assists new families entering residential setting by offering hope, assisting the consumer navigate through childcare services, and providing on-going childcare support.Assists caregivers and children in articulating their personal goals for recovery and determining specific objectives/target behaviors to reach their parenting goals as a family.Demonstrate an increased parenting knowledge and parenting efficacy by modeling evidenced-based parenting interventions.Attend weekly Lotus Learning Center team huddles, all-staff meetings and other employee development activities, including in-service training, and MyLearningPointe trainings. Attend agency huddles and children’s team meetings as requested.Support the Fields of Hope community in providing accountability through implementation of Trauma Informed Care, the Sanctuary Model, agency regulations, policies, and procedures.Assess the needs of children, ensure needs are met, and make recommendations for follow-ups to each child’s treatment team.Develop schedules and routines to create a sense of security and consistency. Document and communicate these routines to each child’s caregiver.Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate daily groups and activities with children and document daily routines, strengths, and needs. Prepare and maintain care records ensuring the completion of all forms and relevant reports.Participate in program planning and activities to promote the personal growth and development of the families on the Fields of Hope campus.Help children maintain good hygiene. Routinely clean, disinfect, and organize the Lotus Learning Center’s space and equipment.Consult with mother, children’s individual providers and the mother’s primary providers regarding strengths or needs of children in their care.Transport children as needed for school and any pre-approved activities.Ensures orders are checked in and put away in an accurate and orderly manner to avoid waste.Coordinate with staff the responsibility for the safety and security of the facility including emergency procedures, security and all other facility management.Outreach and engage consumers by orienting them to childcare services.Helps consumers to recognize and utilize their own strengths, skills, talents and abilities to increase the consumer’s independence and self-sufficiency in the community.Maintains professional competency in the area under his/her responsibility through appropriate readings and attendance at workshops and conferences.Immediately consult with supervisory staff regarding any unusual or critical incidents, including but not limited to any crisis-related incidents.Performs other duties as required and/or assigned by supervisor and/or executive staff.EOE Statement: NorthCare provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.Position requires the following:(a.) Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; preferred Child Development Associate Certification.(b.) One year’s work experience with children under the age of thirteen (13) years old.(c.) Must me at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and valid car insurance.Must be able to interact with management, peers, other agency staff and consumers in a respectful and professional manner. Local travel may be required. Must maintain and provide verification of valid driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance including uninsured motorist coverage. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Casual professional dress is required. Must possess and maintain CPR, First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications; or obtain within 30 days of employment with North Care. Must have current (within past year) TB test; or obtain within 30 days of employment with NorthCare. Must be able to bend over, stoop and climb stairs, move about facilities freely, and lift up to 30 pounds.Must have and/or complete Family Treatment Center training prior to providing services to consumers with NorthCare. Must have and/or complete Core Level Co-Occurring Training, and Trauma Informed Training within 60 days of employment with NorthCare.Must be COVID 19 vaccinated and follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID vaccination and Boosters.
