Mortgage Compliance Assistant

CHASE Professionals is currently representing a large financial institution located in Atlanta, GA that is hiring for multiple Mortgage Compliance Assistants / Specialists.

The Mortgage Compliance Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation and on-going management of mortgage compliance as it relates to HMDA reporting, aged pipeline reports, HMDA scrub and withdrawn/declined loan tracking.

Duration : Contract / Contract-to-hire
Pay : $17
– $21 p/hr
Client is seeking:
Manage the aged pipeline reports.

Notifying and following up with branch managers, originators and processors of loans in the pipeline that exceed regulatory guidelines
Manage the declined/cancelled loan reports.

Mailing declination notices to borrowers per established guidelines as well as uploading notices for both denied and withdrawn loans into DataTrac
Monitor HMDA data and verify documentation for HMDA reporting is accurately showing in DataTrac
Communicate with underwriters and management regarding discrepancies with HMDA action
Review the Loan Application Register (LAR) on a quarterly basis for accuracy
Provide guidance for originators, assistants, and processors to confirm HMDA information is being reported correctly
Review and resolve findings from internal and external audits
Review new quality & compliance requirements from investors and state and federal regulators
Appraisal desk coverage when the appraisal desk coordinator is absent
Pull and return of files in the vault as needed
Assist with writing policies and procedures
