The Boeing Company currently has an exciting opportunity for multiple Model Based Engineering (MBE) Transformation Leads to join the Bombers and Fighters division located in St.

Louis, MO.

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

As a Model Based Engineering (MBE) Transformation Lead, you will influence model based engineering strategies across BDS, and develop and implement those strategies across programs in the Bombers and Fighter division.

You will also evaluate MBE Starter and Solution Kit efforts and work with programs to when and how they can implement and move forward into a model based engineering environment, lead efforts to develop / update program transformation roadmaps and guide execution of these roadmaps, and serve on enterprise steering teams for MBE and related efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

Represents the division through participation in the development of company-wide standards and techniques to continuously improve and optimize solutions for complex engineering and manufacturing processes throughout the value stream

Consults with developers of company-wide product definition processes and tools for application to Boeing products and processes

Become the division Subject Matter Expert in one of several Model-Based Engineering areas, including Electrical Engineering design and execution, Model-based Systems Engineering, Product Security, Full-Sized Determinate Assemblies, or Production Engineering

Become a Bombers and Fighter Program Focal and support the program with the following:

Work with programs to assess current model based maturity, and determine future maturity goals

Develop business cases to determine new tool and process feasibility

Work with programs to determine and migrate to new tool architecture configurations

This position is anticipated to be a Hybrid working virtually and on-site.

Days on-site are negotiable based on team and programs needs.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S.

Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S.

Security clearance (Post-Start).

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Ability to obtain Interim US Security clearance (Post-Start)

Bachelors in a course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5 or more years’ of engineering experience

Communication effectively with peers, customers, stakeholder and senior leadership

Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3or more years experience leadingor managing engineering teams through phases of development, production, fielding, operations and maintenance

1or more years experience working withexecutive leadership

1 or more years experience balancing competing technical, programmatic and financial program elements and integrating independent efforts simultaneously

Typical Education/Experience:

(Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.
