Responsible for formulating strategies and executing plan objectives in alignment with department and organizational strategic plans and goals.

Collaborate directly with the management team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Primary goals are to manage technology portfolios with each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization.

Also helps to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1.

Leads IT Engineering team and provide mentoring, training, and support to IT staff as required with a strong focus on User Experience (UX), Agility and Innovation.

Develops and implements initiatives relating to ongoing knowledge and skills development with a focus on enhancing the development and professional growth of staff.

Conducts timely performance evaluations and periodic coaching that allows for open feedback and constructive dialogue with all supervised staff.2.

Analyzes requirements and regulations and leads the implementation of information security solutions including development and enforcement of the information security policy alongside Mission Fed’s Information Security Officer.

Understanding of applicable information security frameworks, tools and platforms and necessary procedures to ensure compliance.

Participates in annual disaster recovery and business continuity testing and completion of comprehensive goals, objectives, test results documentation and tabletop exercises.3.

Directs development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

Ensures that adequate business resumption strategies, plans, processes, and documentation exist to continue Mission Fed business activities and member service in the event of a disruption.4.

Keeps current with current and emerging technologies in infrastructure, cloud services, storage, security and ITIL best practices.5.

Assures the team provides the highest level of support through proactive problem ownership and management, and adherence to change management standards.8.

Assists CIO in IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.9.

Develops, tracks, and controls the department’s annual operating and capital budgets.

Conducts business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for department spending and initiatives.10.

Demonstrates strong subject matter expertise necessary to interact with all levels of management as well as technical and non-technical users and business partners.11.

Negotiates procurement and maintenance contracts for all hardware and software services.

Works directly with 3rd party vendors to ensure services being provided are meeting or exceeding department and organizational standards.13.

Develops and enforces documented processes hardware and software asset management, acquisition, licensing, control, and disposition.14.

Ensures systems and support are available 7 days/week, 24 hours/day, and 365 days/year.15.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of and complies with all Mission Fed, departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as, federal regulations applicable to the position, including BSA requirements.

Completes all required compliance training as assigned.16.

Performs other duties as assigned.Who’s qualified to be a VP, IT Engineering?Education: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or equivalent focus is required.

Two years of equivalent experience can substitute for every one year of education.Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience working in the Enterprise IT industry, including 5 years experience managing and/or directing a technology business unit is required.

Applied knowledge of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, network technologies (MPLS, VLANS, BGP, OSPF, VPNS, etc.) virtual servers, network storage, replication and backup technologies.

Experience implementing and supporting voice applications, mobile devices, and systems.

Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructures such as Azure, AWS, and cloud services such as the Office365 suite of application and Power tools.

Acquired industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Agile, PMP, CISSP, ITIL, etc.).

Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development, excellent understanding of project management principles, and superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives are required.

Must have demonstrated ability applying technology to solve business problems, in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology use, and strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.Skills & Abilities: The ideal candidate will have proven leadership ability, possess a keen attention to detail, be self-motivated with the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously, excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills, be service oriented, and have the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Must possess a Driver’s License in good standing as driving is a requirement of the position.Software: In-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Enterprise Servers (SQL, SMS, SharePoint, etc.), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), VWare, Microsoft Office365 Suite (including Power Automate, Power Apps) PowerBI, Windows, iOS, Wireless networks, and Firewalls.Your privacy is very important to Mission Federal Credit Union.
