Location:Las Vegas, Nevada PRIMARY PURPOSE:The purpose of the Lead Engineer is to supervise technicians, laborers and engineers, and ensure all work scheduled is assigned and completed.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resort international policies, practices, and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive materials that have been ordered from the warehouse and dockOrganize and prioritize projects as they are requestedPrepare take-offs and estimates for projectsComplete all jobs as assigned by Dispatch and ManagementOversee the completion of all work performed by facilities technicians, laborers and engineersAdvise manager of all work orders and/or projects currently being worked on, the scheduling of projects, and materials needed for such projectsMaintain a constant awareness of safety and accident preventionRespond to hotel emergency calls, assist in expediting repairs to ensure guest and employee safety and comfortEstablish and maintain effective working relationship with all departments within Off-site propertiesEnsure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all timesMaintain knowledge of materials used by various technical trades in the departmentPerform other job-related duties as requested MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a Hotel or industrial complex propertyWork varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays PREFERRED:Five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a Hotel or industrial complex propertyExperience working in a similar resort settingFormal fall protection and overall safety trainingEffectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
