The Center includes secure facilities for both adults, and children and adolescents, and is the only lock-up units for a 100 mile radius.
The current medical staff includes eight psychiatrists, all Board Certified in Adult and General Psychiatry as well as their areas of specialization.
Currently there are three adult and general, three child and adolescent, one geriatric, and one consultation and liaison psychiatrists.
All have very busy practices, and most also provide services at area mental health agencies that contract with the hospital for professional hours.
Several provide telepsych services to outlying facilities.
The current consultation psychiatrist has given notice that she will soon be relocating to accommodate her domestic needs, so this is a straightforward search for a replacement.
The new recruit will inherit a robust and lucrative practice.
Board Certification is an expectation of all physicians working for the Health System.
A new patient care addition is currently under construction and due for completion at the beginning of 2015.
This new addition will house complete new facilities for Behavior Health on the Hospital’s main campus.
New clinical offices for psychiatry will be completed at the same time.
The Hospital has been recognized in 2010 as Employer of the Year, a Magnet Hospital for nurses in 2011, a Top 100 Best Places to Work, & one of the top 8% Most Wire hospitals in the U.S.
