Our client has a need for a Materials Planner.

This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies.

For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Materials Planner Job Responsibilities Your specific duties as a Materials Planner will include: Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

Schedule, contact and expedite parts from internal work centers, sister plants, third party logistics representatives, suppliers, and subcontract suppliers; develop and implement contingency plans when necessary and keep management informed of actions being taken.

Analyzes production specifications and capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements.

Revise planning based on changes coming from both dependent and independent demands as well as from inventory adjustments and Bills of Material corrections; resolve and process open rejection orders.

Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen 4) conditions; includes estimating.

May prepare lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools, and equipment.

Prepares production reports.

Materials Planner Job Requirements As a Materials Planner you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty.

You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.

It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
