Material Handler – Seasonal

SUMMARY: Performs duties as assigned by the District and Store Manager involving the processing and maintaining of freight levels in the store locations assigned by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES can include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.
Helps drive a positive customer experience by keeping inventory processed to the floor in a timely manner.
Stocks merchandise into specific designated locations.
Maintains clean work area.
Accurately process required paperwork.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school degree, GED, 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, purchase orders and office procedures/memos.

Ability to speak effectively with vendors and fellow associates.

Have the ability to understand and follow instructions.

Manual dexterity is required to open cartons and move merchandise
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to travel between stores within the assigned district
Required Availability: Monday
– Thursday or Tuesday
– Friday from 8am
– 4pm
