POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently recruiting a full-time CNC Machinist/Welder to join our Stacy, MN team. This position will be responsible for machining/fabricating, repairing forms and parts including applying appropriate machining techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules. Incumbent must be able to follow direction and will be responsible for making various products and parts. This is a non-exempt hourly position working Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and overtime work. This position will report to the Fabrication Shop Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to operate numerous fabricating machines safely.
- Weld various materials correctly using a wire feed welder as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders or verbal instructions.
- Use tooling and machinery to form metal. Setting-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
- You will be trained to safely operate a forklift, hoists, overhead crane and slings to move material.
- Work with other shop employees to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
- Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
- Regularly inspect equipment to maintain functionality and if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department. Performs minor machine maintenance as needed.
- Comply with all safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas and adhere to company OSHA safety guidelines at all times. Promote a safe work environment for all staff, vendors, and customers.
- Regular, timely attendance to meet customer/company needs in an efficient and effective manner.
- Performs special projects or assignments as directed.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two plus years CNC machining experience. Fabrication certificate received from trade school preferred but not required.
- Two or more years in manufacturing and heavy production experience.
- Able to use a variety of machining concepts, practices, and procedures. Thoroughly familiar with CNC machining equipment such as CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, manual lathe, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders. Able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to work overtime as required by the business and customer demands.
- Ability to listen and ask questions to understand concepts made by others.

- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
- While performing duties, employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Noise level is also high in the work environment.
