We are a local manufacturer that has been in business for over 50 years and are currently looking for a new member for our team. We are looking to hire someone who is hard working and eager to learn the skills to become a machinist. We currently have no CNC equipment. The main machines used will be manual lathes and knee mills Experience is a plus, but is not required. We will teach you the skills you need. If you have ever had an interest in learning a new field, this job is for you.
Daily duties will include inspecting shafts for bearing fits, removing and installing bearings, and making prints. As you advance you will learn to run lathes and mills to machine parts to match prints and drawings. An opportunity to learn to weld up parts might be available also.
Benefits include paid medical insurance after 90 days
Starting pay: $13.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on skill level
Shift: 5:00am to 1:00pm Monday thru Friday
Will have to be able to pass a standard drug test.
