Loss Prevention Security Officer Requirements: 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Required Basic computer skills Strong public relations and customer service skills.

Calm, polite, and professional behavior.

Reliable and self-motivated.

Ability to read, understand English.

Ability to recognize situations/individuals who may pose a threat to the public.

Ability to handle situations/individuals under stressful conditions.

Ability to follow directions, without hesitation, under stressful conditions.

Ability to handle verbally disruptive people in a professional manner.

Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
