Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks a regular full time Budget Analyst: (job# HOU 135-2020) for its Houston Office.LSLA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit law firm and its mission is to protect and advance the civil rights of low-income Texans by providing advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensure equal access to justice.Summary of ResponsibilitiesWe seek a budget analyst to develop a system for monitoring, forecasting and projecting LSLA spending to ensure that spending remains within budget.
In addition, to provide regular reports to Senior Management which will assist in annual budget preparations, and to provide two to five year budget planning and projections.
Position is available as a one year contract but could turn into a regular position.
LSLA is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation with a $40 million annual budget and just under 400 employees.RequirementsMinimum Education and Experience :Bachelor?s Degree and extensive experience required in budget planning, preparations, and forecasting.
Extensive experience required in Accounting, Finance, M.I.S., or Computer/Software Application.
Graduate degree desirable: (MBA, MPA, Certification in Government and Financial Management).Minimum Skills and Abilities:Exceptional Accounting, Forecasting, Planning, Finance, Technology, and Grant Administration skills required.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, technical, and organization skills.

Proven ability to collaborate with a team, represent LSLA to a rich diversity of people, communities, and institutions, and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
