InterVision Company is seeking a Linux Engineer
– Monitoring Platforms responsible for overall architecture of key software solutions for managing and monitoring customer environments.

Primary job function would include overall system health and performance, capacity planning, updates, upgrades, and external integrations.

This position will manage uptime, availability, and disaster recovery testing.

5+ years of experience working with Linux and/or Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server, Redhat Linux, CentOS) 1+ years working with Enterprise monitoring and management tools.

2+ years of experience working with virtualization technology such as VMWare, Hyper-V, Docker or similar 1+ years experience implementing, managing, and supporting solutions such as SCCM, SCOM, Operations Manager, Openview, Solarwinds, Nimsoft, Accelops, FortiSIEM, IBM Netcool, Kasyea, LogicMonitor, Ninja RMM, ScienceLogic, or similar Advanced understanding of IP networking fundamentals, Telecommunications infrastructure and VoIP a plus Advanced knowledge supporting different Network Topologies, Protocols and Routing/Switching in local and wide area networking communications a plus ITIL Certification a plus

Some of the exciting work you will encounter:
Test, tweak, document and hand off monitoring of new device types as we expand our product portfolio Investigate monitoring issues escalated from the operations team including: Failure to alert, Too many alerts, etc.

Manages capacity planning, updates, upgrades and internal integration.

Responsible for overall system health Direct System responsibilities include: Accelops/FortiSIEM, Kaseya, ConnectWise, ElasticSearch, ServiceNow, and Customer Portal Indirect System responsibilities include: Compute and Storage and Network and Load Balancing Coordinates with both the Network and Data Center Teams for Indirect System responsibilities Responsible for disaster recovery testing Manages uptime and availability Maintains 3rd party integrations including: Qualys, Cisco AMP, ThreatSteam, ConnectWise, ServiceNow and others.

Mentor, educate, and train support personnel on how to use tools.

Maintains knowledge on current technology by reading technology periodicals, evaluating new technologies and attending trade-shows, technical seminars and training sessions.

Performs other duties as assigned and required.
