DiverseGOV a division of Diverse Staffing / Diverse Tech Services is currently seeking a Legal eDiscovery Data Analyst / Litigation Support Analyst for a Government position on our Diverse Staffing / Diverse Tech Services team. The Legal eDiscovery Data Analyst / Litigation Support Analyst hired by us, will work at U.S. Attorney’s Office, primarily at two locations, 400 Market Street, Camden NJ 08102 and 402 E. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.

***At the sole discretion of the USAO, working remotely may be an option for some work due to COVID-19 the USAO is currently at a 50% remote work after training, however resources are required to be local and go back to the office as directed.

The pay rate is up to 38.00 + insurance (depending on skill set) or up to $40.23 no insurance (depending on skill set).

Work hours are 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays and Office closures. This position will require an extensive federal background check and credit check (no bankruptcies/collections) that could take up to 8 weeks.

The Diverse Staffing / Diverse Tech Services Legal eDiscovery Data Analyst / Litigation Support Analyst at this client location performs the following responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support services, including the oversight of collection and production of ESI, paper documents and materials from government agencies and external parties.
  • Process, upload, and interpret data received from external parties.
  • Review, and analyze documents and other materials.
  • Maintain an inventory of materials produced pursuant to subpoena and prepare outlines and/or logs of documents/materials produced.
  • Create and maintain a database and system for processing electronically stored information (“ESI”).
  • Plan and coordinate efforts with law enforcement agencies involved in litigation team activities, including recommending best practices and procedures for collecting and producing ESI using available software.
  • Organize voluminous case information for efficient retrieval through automated means such as processing ESI, scanning, indexing, and production of documents into a database.
  • Oversee and handle document organization and management for efficient electronic storage and retrieval by processing ESI, defining deduplication scope, quality control, preparing appropriate indices, de fining data field search criteria, and indexing databases.
  • Draft and compile chronologies and logs of key data and information.
  • Liaison with the taint/privilege review team of AUSAs regarding privilege review, Criminal and Civil divisions, and law enforcement agencies, defense counsel, and third-party vendors concerning documents and investigative strategy.
  • Conduct on-site review and organization of physical documents and materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of graphical presentations, demonstrative exhibits, and government presentations.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors as needed.
  • The Litigation Support Analyst will oversee and handle systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Manage and operate a database of several thousand documents, maintained within a document review platform.
  • Organize information in summary fashion in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Manage and operate a variety of electronics
  • Plan and carry out difficult and complex litigation support assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures.
  • Meet with attorneys and others to plan for litigation support for cases.
  • Meet with agency IT personnel to assess and evaluate ESI storage and retrieval methods.
  • Interpret litigation support policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and execute project management plans and processes tailored to case needs.
  • Conduct analyses and recommend resolution of complex issues affecting litigation support technology.
  • Evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering litigation support services.
  • Test and optimize the functionality of litigation support systems, networks, and data.
  • Identify and define business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks.
  • Develop, organize, and present training for AUSAs and staff on the use of litigation support software and technology.
  • Prepare and provide complex graphics
  • Provide technical leadership on group projects.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • US Citizen who has lived in the U.S. three out of the last five years
  • Ability to pass an in-depth criminal background check
  • Ability to pass an in-depth credit report (no delinquencies, collections or recent bankruptcies)
  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • Valid Drivers’ license and car insurance
  • 3-6 years of experience in a litigation support or electronic discovery environment.
  • Extensive experience with Relativity, iPro, LawPrediscovery, SQL, NUIX, Concordance, iConnect, CaseMap, Palantir, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.
  • Experience analyzing incoming electronic data to determine appropriate processing requirements.
  • Experience with performing complex searches, managing the technical administration of document reviews, and producing data to outside parties using common litigation support platforms, particularly the Relativity document review platform.
  • Experience working directly with a variety of technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good written/oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand factual and legal documents
  • Effectively communicate with attorneys and investigators, and address subject matter details involved in a case to determine options for managing and presenting the data and to recommend a course of action.
  • A familiarity with criminal/civil law at the federal level is preferred

Travel:

The Litigation Support Analyst may be required to visit other office locations and may use the government vehicles upon approval and availability. The Litigation Support Analyst will not be required to travel overnight.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to use hands to handle and operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • May need to lift and/or carry record boxes, supplies and copier paper boxes that typically weigh approximately 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
