Our client, in Oakland, is looking for a Legal Assistant to join the team.

The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Chief Legal Officer in a wide range of complex administrative, event/project management, and Compliance & Legal team capacities.

This role manages a high degree volume of activities requiring significant prioritization.

Complex documents, legal processes and organizing systems are part of the role while supporting all the internal compliance and legal team members.

The team is comprised of attorneys, paralegals and analysts.

The work is largely based in an active understanding of the details of highly confidential work under management for the enterprise and/or its affiliates, parent(s) and/or subsidiaries.

The Legal Assistant will complete critical aspects of Chief Legal Officer deliverables and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem solving and adjusting as needs dictate.

Job Requirements:

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum Experience:

• 5
– 7 years of experience supporting senior and/or C-suite level executives in a legal department or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Preferred Licensure / Certification: Legal Notary (company will provide time and training to obtain upon hire, if applicable)
