Job Summary
Assesses supervisor and non-exempt associate training and developmental needs.
Develops required training in partnership with Home Office Learning and Development and D/C Training Manager.
Implements and evaluates Distribution Center training programs for D/C Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
Follows up on training provided and evaluates results for effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Delivers, monitors, coaches and guides technical and non-technical training for Distribution Center Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
Provides training and recommendations for associates in the DC.
-Consults with D/C Supervisors, coach trainers, and associates on the floor to follow up on training issues, professional development, and new hire follow-up.
– Partners with Home Office Learning and Development to modify, design and develop training programs and materials.
-Conducts training sessions and orientations.
Responsible for maintaining and reporting out on completion status.
– Ensures all D/C Supervisor and non-exempt associate training programs are conducted on a timely basis.
Provides follow up to maintain quality and consistency to the training process.
-Consults with D/C Training Manager and D/C Human Resources (as needed) on a regular basis to assess effectiveness of current training programs used.
-Participates in D/C Committees and special projects as assigned.
Decision Making
-Reviews effectiveness of training program and makes recommendations based on the effectiveness of the training program.
Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages):
-Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
-Strong knowledge and skill in training techniques.
-Knowledge of DC operations and procedures.
-Good presentation and communication skills.
-Knowledge of needs analysis, design, implementation and evaluation skills.
-Adult Learning Theories.
-Must be flexible to work all days/shift
Minimum experience required to perform this job:
1 year training experience and/or 2+ years DC experience.
