Lead Press Operator

In search of Large Format Lead Press operator.

Job Description: The sheetfed lead pressman would be responsible for the supervision of his/her press crew. This supervision includes coaching, training, and motivating for top performance. Phoenix Veterans Print expects that the lead press operator will always act, to assure the highest level of press, crew and personal performance possible and will work enthusiastically to meet and exceed all performance goals.

Position Overview:

· Make-ready and operate press based upon instruction provided

· Establish and maintain the correct color

· Continuously monitor product for quality

· Maintain ink and water balance

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· Complete assigned and general maintenance duties

· Complete required documentation, electronic and paper for assigned job

· Ability to maintain close attention to detail for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work overtime as mandated by production needs. Including 12-hour shifts nights and weekends.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.

· Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team

Experience and Education needed:

· High School or equivalent

· Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language.

· Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions

· Must have 3-5 years of Sheetfed press experience, UV desired but not required.

· KBA press experience preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of Pantone matching system and able to read and understand L*a* b*’s and Delta E’s

Physical Demands:

· Standing on a cement floor for up to 12 hours

· Crawling and climbing around the press

· Pushing and pulling skids of paper

· Ability to lift 50 pounds
