Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for one year.This position is 20 hours a week on the day/evening shift.
It is on a rotating weekend schedule.

– Specimen Processing and Shipment of samples to Reference LabsProvides Exceptional Customer Service to all stakeholders in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of the Laboratory and UVMHNObtains specimens for testing according to policies, procedures and regulatory requirementsPerforms administrative duties to meet the needs of the Laboratory Department and the customers served by the laboratoryProcesses specimens prior to testing, ensuring quality and adhering to established policies and proceduresWorks collaboratively with coworkers, Technologists and other staff within department and in other departments throughout the OrganizationUses a variety of communication skills to meet the needs of the laboratory department and the customers served by the laboratoryParticipates in continuing education and departmental development functions to support professional growth and departmental initiativesEDUCATION: Able to read, write and speak the English languageHigh School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Phlebotomy Certification from a nationally recognized agency is highly recommendedPhlebotomy Experience is a plusComputer entry or word processing skills requiredWorking knowledge of medical terminology desirableGood interpersonal communication skills requiredApproximately six months to a year is required to learn the job for satisfactory performance.
