Overview of the Role: Support best-in-class analytics & recommendations which deliver 3% annual net sales value to the assigned branded business across RGM levers.
Influence decision-making with analyzing multiple data platforms & industry leading techniques across consumer, category, competition & customer insights.
Havean understanding of retailer sell-in and execution to maximize revenue generation initiatives.
Overall Responsibilities: Compile analysis that drives fast decision making of RGM opportunities via price accretive actionsSupport delivery of current year RGM business objectives including gap closure or contingency planningSupport a 3+ year pipeline of RGM initiatives delivering 2%-3% operating profit to the businessSupport price strategy projects with analytics in category, competitor, customer & consumerUnderstand channel pricing relationships and enable solutions to reduce channel conflictDeliver Brand’s price strategy principles of:Suggested retail pricing (e.G., SRP, EDLP pricing, promoted pricing)Promotion strategy by brand (depth, frequency, duration, promoted partners)List price & trade structures enabling retail strategiesDiscount curvesPartner with Sales to identify & address executional barriers prior to deployment of price strategy or RGM initiatives ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Pricing AnalyticsStrong analytic skills and knowledge of tools across multiple data platforms and techniques with ability to analyze consumer, category, customer & competitive dataUnderstanding of customer economics and sensitivities to enable win/win RGM proposals margins, price gaps, economics, price sensitives, promotional strategies, PLPrice & Volume impact analysis leveraging elasticity factors (e.G., primary product, cross-product, cross-customer) or econometric tools and application to business problemsPrice Management: Knowledgeable of the category articulating the role of pricing and promotion to consumer behavior and the businessEvaluate competitor pricing strategies and analyze impact to KC brands, developing recommendations to address business impactsIntegrate established pricing guidelines into the introduction of new SKU’s developing all pricing elements and securing approval of Brand leadershipLeverage internal and external data sources in the creation of statistical and analytic reviews of the pricing strategy, revenue optimization and promotional price activityCollaborate with Finance Partners (Brand or Customer) to quantify the ‘cost of the plan’ in terms of trade investment needed to execute promotional strategiesPartner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure trade enables the everyday and promoted price strategies and associated financial objectivesTalent BuildingTake a proactive approach towards developing own skills as well as enhancing the organization’s acumen around RGM considerations Qualifications/Education/Experience Required : Education : Bachelor’s degree in business or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge.
Master’s degree a plus.
Demonstrated Performance :3+ yrs demonstrated track record of sustained success across multi-category CPG companies with known quality RGM functions or direct RGM consulting experience across multiple clients.Exposure across multiple retail channels, including brick & mortar and omni-channel.Retail sales exposure with record of successful customer sell-in and influencing.
Strong Analytical skills : Capability to outline approach & fact base required for a business problem or opportunity.
Strategic Thinking : Conceptual thinking skills with a basic understanding of marketing, market research, category management, and sales Communication skills : Effectively influence individuals, simplifying the story from complex data Communication skills : Effectively uses simple to explanations for complex topics and has experience storytelling with data Leadership skills : Project Manage small sized projects across functions to achieve results and drive insights & recommendations with business unit partners.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS :Reports to the Senior Manager, Revenue Growth Management for the assigned Brand’s Business UnitWorks closely with Category Management, Brand Marketing, Insights & Analytics, BU Sales, Brand Finance and Customer Development Finance WORKING CONDITIONS :Position is located in Kimberly-Clark’s campus in Chicago, IL.
