Junior Systems Administrator
Modis, Inc. the leader in the IT and Engineering Staffing Industry is actively interviewing candidates for an exciting Junior Systems Administrator role with one of our best clients. This is a full time, permanent opportunity. The client does require that you work onsite 100% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Perform with an attitude of learning and showing initiative to grow technically and professionally
Work within a team to support Windows Server environments which support internal and hosted applications for customers
Support end-users’ technical issues
Administer and troubleshoot applications by adding users, managing access and permissions
Work in Active Directory to manage users, passwords, and profiles
Support physical and VMWare servers in addition to web-servers inclusive of patch management, upgrades, and migrations.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues with server performance and availability
Professionally and efficiently communicate with internal teams and external clients daily
Skills Required:
Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems or related degree; Bachelor’s degree is preferred; A+ or Network+ Certifications strongly preferred.
1 year of professional experience in Technical Support
Working knowledge of Windows Server and Operating Systems including virtualization
Strong desire to learn and grow in IT; proven ability to take initiative to gain knowledge and experience with new technologies.
