Position Summary: Applied Molecular Transport is seeking a talented and highly motivated intern to work with our biology team to support efforts towards the discovery and development of novel, oral biological therapeutics to treat inflammatory diseases.
Our intern will be involved in the design and execution of laboratory experiments aimed at characterizing novel therapeutics.
Previous experience in a biology lab setting is ideal, though training will be provided.
At AMT, our interns will acquire new skills & experience, and build professional relationships in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Biology team to perform ex vivo and in vivo studies relating to the intestinal mucosa Help our Biomarker’s team with setting up assays with outside contract research organization Learn and perform basic immunology cell-based assays, multiparameter flow cytometry, ELISA, and microscopy (immunofluorescence) Maintain lab notebook; develop and present your project’s results in a group meeting format Preferred Experience/Education: Students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in molecular & cellular biology, immunology, or related fields.
Coursework and/or some experience in microbiology, biology is a plus.
This internship may include animal handing (rodent) and performing in vivo work.
All training will be provided.
