You could be the one who changes everything for our 25 million members as an Actuarial Analyst Intern.
This position is on our Actuarial Financial Reporting Team The intern will support various state and local actuarial/financial reporting standards (used for overall program evaluation, MLR (Medical Loss Ratio reporting) and Rate Setting data/reporting, ensuring our plans remain efficient, compliant and promote the well-being of members we serve.
The Actuarial Intern will work for the Actuarial Services department supporting the healthcare field related to Medicaid actuarial reporting to the States and/or delegated actuarial consultants.
The internship will allow the selected students to learn actuarial concepts including medical expense categorization, reserving and modeling.
Interns who are working towards an actuarial designation will gain hands-on actuarial experience on modeling and technical skills in coding (SQL).

The direct manager will be an industry expert that will provide knowledge, training and mentoring.

The interns will receive individualized training for the projects they will be tasked with and should expect to significantly expand their skillset during the internship.
Interns will receive industry-specific training as well as basic to intermediate software training from departmental peers as part of the program.
In addition, there will be weekly training in many finance areas of the company .

Experience/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
